The main purpose of Zambia Ambassadors for Science, Engineering and Technology (Z-ASET) is to support students and educators in delivering the curriculum and increase the number of people with Science, engineering & Technology Passion and qualifications in Science, Engineering, Design and Technology, ICT and Mathematics. The main purpose of Zambia Ambassadors for Science, Engineering and Technology (Z-ASET) is to support students and educators in delivering the curriculum and increase the number of people with Science, engineering & Technology Passion and qualifications in Science, Engineering, Design and Technology, ICT and Mathematics. - Enable young people to make links between what they learn at school and the world of work
- Give them an understanding of the types of careers that are open to them if they study Science, Engineering, Design and Technology, ICT and Mathematics.
- Motivate young and old people to develop their Science, Engineering, Design and Technology, ICT and Mathematics skills further
Zambia Ambassadors for Science, Engineering & Technology:
Science, Engineering & Technology Ambassadors are developed as a resource that will:
- Set quality standards to ensure all Science, Engineering and Technology Ambassadors successfully complete an approved induction
- Contribute to the Government's overall target training in Science, Engineering and Technology or Mathematics
- Be available to every school and technology organizations in Zambia that wants them.
Z-ASET Objectives:
Our objectives are to:
- Improve educational achievement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects by supporting both teachers and students in these subjects
- Encourage more young people to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics beyond age 18
- Encourage more young people to feel confident in pursuing a careers involving science, technology, engineering and mathematics
- Improve teachers' and young people's understanding of the role of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the development of the economy and world trade.
